Programme of Meetings for 2026

Meetings are held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of every month from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at Houghton Conquest Village Hall, apart from the summer outdoor venues and the August break.

7th January

No meeting

​

21st January: Annual General Meeting followed by  a paint along session with Linda Peacock who will demonstrate skills and techniques in oil painting.  Linda will bring along paints and brushes etc, so you just need to bring a canvas with you. ​

4th February: Still Life Inspiration

Your chance to create a still life in the medium of your choice. Members to bring along their own materials. Nicola will provide some objects to provide inspiration, but feel free to bring along your own  objects.

18th February: Sunset using acrylics

 Use acrylic paints to produce a sunset, following a tutorial video

4th March: Fiona Wilson demonstrating seascapes in mixed media.

​

18th March: A chance to create your own seascape in mixed media using the techniques demonstrated by Fiona Wilson at the meeting on 4th March.

15th April:  Take One Picture led by member Sarah Burrows

6th May: Stencilling Backgrounds - An interactive workshop by Susan Webb

20th May: Follow on from Susan Webb's interactive workshop on Stencilling Backgrounds

2nd September: Watercolour Pencils Demonstration with visiting speaker David Lewry.
