Meetings are held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of every month from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at Houghton Conquest Village Hall, apart from the summer outdoor venues and the August break.

21st January: Annual General Meeting followed by  a paint along session with Linda Peacock who will demonstrate skills and techniques in oil painting.  Linda will bring along paints and brushes etc, so you just need to bring a canvas with you. ​

4th February: Still Life Inspiration

Your chance to create a still life in the medium of your choice. Members to bring along their own materials. Nicola will provide some objects to provide inspiration, but feel free to bring along your own  objects.

18th February: Sunset using acrylics

 Use acrylic paints to produce a sunset, following a tutorial video

4th March: Fiona Wilson demonstrating seascapes in mixed media.

​

18th March: A chance to create your own seascape in mixed media using the techniques demonstrated by Fiona Wilson at the meeting on 4th March.

​

1st April: Using Charcoal. Choose your own subject to draw.

​

15th April:  Take One Picture led by member Sarah Burrows 

​

6th May: Stencilling Backgrounds - A demonstration and have a go session by visitor Susan Webb. You will need acrylic paints and paper suitable for acrylic paints.

​

20th May: Animal Portrait of a dog in pastel. a demonstration and have a go session with visitor Karen Reep. You will need pastel sticks, pastel crayons and white pastel paper.

3rdJune: Mini canvases - Paint a mini canvas for sale at the Art and Craft day to help raise funds for your society. 

​

17th June: Oil Painting with Linda Peacock

1st July: Outdoor painting and drawing at Newbury Nursery Silsoe. 4.30 pm start.

​

15th July: Outdoor painting and drawing at Box End Water Park, Kempston. 5pm start, check website for restaurant details if required. Take your own chair if required.

5th and 19th August: Summer Break

​

2nd September: Watercolour Pencils Demonstration with visiting speaker David Lewry.

​

16th September:  A chance to have a go with water coloured pencils using what we learnt from David Lewry at the previous meeting.

3rd October: Art and Craft day in Houghton Conquest Village Hall. Details to follow.
